Soprano Tammy Tyburczy graduated from The Juilliard School with a Bachelor of Music Degree in 2000. In May of 2004, she graduated with a Master’s Degree from The Curtis Institute of Music, where she performed roles such as Poppea, Anne Truelove, Norina, Susanna, and Musetta. In 2000, Ms. Tyburczy sang the role of Laurie in The Tenderland with the Orchestra of St. Lukes at the DannyKaye Playhouse. In 2002, Tammy sang Musetta for The San Francisco Opera’s Western Opera Theater Tour and Teofane in Handel’s Ottone re di Germania for The Badische Stattstheater in Karlsruhe, Germany. She also sang Susanna in Les Nozze di Figaro for The Aspen Music Festival conducted by Harry Bicket. In 2004, Tammy sang the soprano solo in The Lord of the Rings Symphony conducted by John Mauceri with The Utah, New Jersey, Baltimore, and Pittsburgh Symphony orchestras. Other appearances include The Governess in The Turn of the Screw with The Pittsburgh Opera Center, the soprano solo in The Fauré Requiem with The Pittsburgh Youth Symphony, and Marzelline in Fidelio at The Pittsburgh Opera. In the summer of 2005, Tammy performed recitals at The Ravinia Festival. She performed the role of Romilda in Xerxes by Handel and Naiade in Ariadne auf Naxos with The Pittsburgh Opera in 2006. She was also featured as the soprano soloist in The Evidence of Things Not Seen by Ned Rorem recorded with Albany Records in August 2006. Upcoming engagements include The Lord of the Rings Symphony with The Leipzig Symphony and Pamina with The Pittsburgh Opera in 2007.
